Martial
arts is a highly effective method of self-defence
and must only be used when absolutely necessary, and then
only with the minimum
force required sufficient to subdue the attacker or stop
him or them. You
must not attack first unless your life is in danger and
there is no other
action open to you.
When practicing
care must always be taken at all times to avoid
accidents, and you must respect your training partner.
Any accidents or injury
must be the responsibility of the individual concerned
and not the association.
In
the training hall you must never engage in idle
chatter, fool
around, smoke, drink or chew gum or sweets. Never
enter the training hall
after consumed alcohol. Always wear the correct
uniform and belt
Belts
must be tied correctly, ensure that your uniform
and person,
particularly feet are clean, and finger and toe
nails are kept short.
Always
try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the time
of the
lesson starting.
Notify
your instructor of when you are taking holidays
or are
unable to train.
No grading
examination will be permitted without a current
license.
The license is renewable annually, the student
must apply using an IFA license
form. The license is not transferable. In the
event of loss, inform your instructor.
Membership
cards must be produced at every training
session including grading's and courses
